P-T GIRLS top 10
1. Merrillville
For the second straight season, the Pirates are the last undefeated team in the region. Can they run the table again?
2. Lowell
The Red Devils didn’t win the Warsaw tournament, but beating Perry Meridian was quite impressive.
3. West Side
Finally, a Gary team won the Gary Holiday Tournament. It should only be made up of Gary teams, but isn’t.
4. Michigan City
The Wolves played well at the South Bend Washington tourney, winning three of four games.
5. Whiting
The Oilers lost a stunner to Knox in the Hanover tournament, but recovered. Now the goal is to win the GSSC again.
6. Bishop Noll
Standing in the Oilers’ way of winning the GSSC are the Warriors with their anticipated meeting next week.
7. Hobart
The Brickies struggled at the Northridge tournament. The next big game is Lowell next week.
8. LaPorte
The Slicers have only played once in 18 days, so rust could be an issue on Saturday at Lake Central.
9. North Judson
With five straight wins, the Bluejays have quietly established themselves as a team to watch in Class 2A.
10. Griffith
The Panthers struggled a bit in the Hanover tournament, which included a double-OT loss to Wheeler.

She had a triple-double Saturday in a victory over River Forest with 25 points, 14 rebounds and 11 steals.
