Trojans’ Katsafaros
in it for the long haul
Chesterton 145-pound senior Chris Katsafaros, who won his first DAC title Saturday, has prepared himself over the past year for a strong postseason run.
“I came into today’s meet really focused and didn’t make any dumb mistakes and came out on top,’’ he said. “My goal is to place as high as I can at sectional, regional and semistate so I can make it to state and get the highest seed possible. My coaches have really pushed me to be better. I’ve done a lot of conditioning and more live wrestling. They think if I put my heart into it I can make it to the state finals, and so does my family. I think I can, too.’’
