P-t boys top 10
1. Munster
The Mustangs are ranked No.1 in the IBCA poll. They beat Chesterton and Michigan City last week.
2. Andrean
The 59ers lost a tough one to Chesterton on Wednesday. They still get the edge over the Pirates, who they beat on the road.
3. Merrillville
The Pirates have a big game Saturday at Lake Central. The Indians are starting to find their groove.
4. Bishop Noll
The Warriors beat Calumet by 66 in the GSSC opener. They’re the team to beat in that tournament.
5. Valparaiso
The Vikings just keep rolling along. They beat Portage last week without their best player.
6. Chesterton
The Trojans are the wild card in these rankings. The win over Andrean could be the spark that moves them to the elite level. Time will tell.
7. Marquette
The Blazers won one and lost one last week. They beat Lake Station and lost to St. Ignatius. Look for Noll and Marquette in GSSC championship.
8. Lake Central
The Indians got a good win against Crown Point. They played well against Bulldogs. The game against Merrillville is big for them.
9. Bowman
The Eagles beat Horizon Christian and Hales Franciscan in the last week. They have a quality game on Saturday against Fort Wayne Northrop.
10. Lew Wallace
The Hornets climb into last spot after an impressive win over Hammond this week.
Player of the Week
Matt Holba, Chesterton
He finished with 16 points, nine
rebounds and four blocks in a 68-57 victory over Andrean on Wednesday.
