Micic right on track heading into sectionals
Hanover Central junior Stevan Micic is excited about preparations to win back-to-back state titles.
Micic is 35-0 with 33 pins at 113 pounds, heading into this week’s Crown Point Sectional. His other two wins were tech falls.
“I’m looking forward to it for both the team and myself,’’ said Micic, who won the 106-pound state crown and went 47-0 last season.
“I think I’ve wrestled well so far and I’m always trying to improve and get better.’’
Micic’s goal is simple.
“I just want to repeat, obviously,’’ he said. “Once you win, you want to win again, because it’s such a good feeling.’’
