The skinny: There is no better conference in the state. Six teams were ranked in the top 10 of the most recent coaches’ poll: Valparaiso (1), Merrillville (tie-3), Portage (5), Michigan City (6), Chesterton (7) and Crown Point (9). Valparaiso has won the last two DAC meet crowns.

The senior led the Slicers to a dual meet victory over Lake Central on Senior Night, finishing with a meet-high all-around score of 34.4, while also posting high marks on floor (9.1) and beam (9.05).
