Rec Roundup: Becca Bruszewski joins Fieldhouse-Merrillville to direct Li’l Dribblers program

The Fieldhouse-Merrillville recently announced the arrival of former Notre Dame basketball player Becca Bruszewski, who will be taking over as Director of the venue’s Li’l Dribblers Program.
Bruszewski played basketball for the Irish and was a 1,000-point scorer, team co-captain, and a member of the 2011 Final Four team.
Fieldhouse-Merrillville officials said they were “absolutely thrilled” to welcome her and believe her experience and talent will help enhance the program.
Li’l Dribblers is a series of instructional clinics designed to help build the skills of pre-school to second-grade basketball players. Hour-long sessions are action-packed and keep the fun in the process.
The spring session runs from April 15 to June 3. Registration is open and cost is $90 per participant.

VU football camp: Registration is open for Valparaiso University’s junior and senior football camp, a one-day session that is set to run on June 16.
The camp is designed to provide instruction that will assist young athletes as they improve their self-confidence in transferring proper technique to actual game situations.
Hosted by the Crusaders coaching staff, the event will take place at Brown Field in Valparaiso from noon to 4 p.m. All students entering their junior or senior years in high school are invited. Fees are $40 for those individuals who pre-register and $50 for walk-ups on the day of the camp.
