Updated: July 15, 2013 6:40PM

The Stardust III King of the Hill will hold its fourth event of the summer season on Friday after Kayla Riffle defeated Jeff Snuffer last week. But the Friday sweepers are just a lead-in to the Summer Trifecta weekend on June 28-30 with three tourneys in three days. It starts with a King of the Hill ($25 entry) at 8:30 p.m. on June 28. Next is the U.S. Open Qualifier ($100 entry) at noon on June 29. It ends with the Best of the Best II ($125 entry) at 10 a.m. on June 30. But if you prepay for all three by June 28, the King of the Hill entry is free. For more details, call Shaun at 322-3666 or visit bowlstardust.com.

Coaching seminar at Camelot: NWIndianabowling.com and Camelot Bowl in Portage are hosting the USA Bowling Coaching Seminar from 2 to 5 p.m. on July 20. After completing the free seminar, information will be given to earn a Level 1 coaching certification. Attendees will also receive free material, including a 138-page USA Bowling Coaching manual and eight-week lesson plan. To register, visit bowl.com/usabowlingcoaching/ or nwindianabowling.com no later than two weeks before the session.

P-T bowlers of the year: It’s that time year for the annual league and tournament bowlers of the year and all-star teams for boys, girls, men and women. Who had the best seasons across the region? We’ll start next week with one of the youth teams and honorees.
