The Dunes Volleyball Club will serve up weekly fall ball training for youths at its Dunes Operations Center at 4744 Oak Knoll in Rolling Prairie and at The Fieldhouse-Merrillville, 899 E. 99th Court, Merrillville.
Fall ball will roll on Sundays from Sept. 8 to Oct. 20. Coordinators billed the program as a great opportunity for players to continue getting repetitions during their season; it acts a supplement to their middle school practices.
Lessons are grouped for athletes in kindergarten through fourth grade and fifth through eighth grade.
At the DOC, the program for the younger kids will run from noon to 1:30 p.m. and cost $60; the older kids’ sessions will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and cost $100.
At the Fieldhouse, the program for the younger kids will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and cost $60; the older kids’ sessions will run from 5 to 7 p.m. and cost $100.

Future Stars is a winter basketball league built especially for kids from kindergarten through third grade. The players will meet at the Merrillville venue on seven consecutive Sunday afternoons starting Sept. 8.
League fees are $90, or $15 per session. Only individuals paying the full $90 will receive a Future Stars shirt.
Fieldhouse-Merrillville coordinators also reminded area parents of pre-school to second grade students that it is not too late to sign up for their Little Dribblers basketball fundamentals camps.
Little Dribblers is a series of instructional clinics designed to help build the skills of aspiring young basketball players. Hour-long sessions are action-packed and keep the fun in the process.
On Mondays from Sept. 9 to Oct. 21, preschoolers and kindergarteners will train from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Sessions for first and second graders will run on those dates from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m.
