Kirk Hinrich out tonight; returns to Chicago with injured elbow

Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich has returned to Chicago to have his right elbow examined and will not be available for Friday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets, the team announced.

Hinrich injured the elbow on Jan. 7 in a 118-92 victory over the Cavaliers.

He will be evaluated by Bulls head team physician Dr. Brian Cole of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.
